ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Rams have signed eight of their 2010 draft picks — including former Illini tight end Michael Hoomanawanui — and can now turn their attention to the big one: No. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford.

CHICAGO – The University of Illinois has formally signed the contract for incoming President Michael Hogan, with little in it that hasn't already been reported.
The contract was signed Tuesday and released Friday night.
– His father, a lifelong Illini fan, said he asked Jahlil Okafor for his four favorite programs. "Kentucky, Georgetown, Syracuse and Connecticut," Chuck said, adding with a laugh, "He enjoys Illinois. I haven't pushed my biases on him yet." The Okafors visited campus Wednesday and had breakfast with UI coaches before the team camp Thursday.
An independent's planned campaign for sheriff would liven up Champaign County politics.
Another big issue – the size of the Champaign County Board – will be determined in the fall election.
It looks like voters will decide if they wish to retain the current 27-member county board or reduce the size slightly to 22 members.
