No agreement reached in Danville school negotiations

The two sides met for a second time with a federal mediator, but talks broke down two hours into the session.

Small's in control

OLYMPIA FIELDS – If members of Illinois' golf team want the blueprint about how to conquer the South Course at Olympia Fields for their invitational there later this month, they can go right to their head coach.

Mike Small tied a course record, firing an 8-under-par 63 Tuesday to take a commanding lead after the second round of the Illinois PGA Championship.

"I think it's great people think that highly of us in the state. That's pretty neat coming from where we've come from," Danville coach B.J. Luke said.
