AT&T says service back for most of Urbana customers

URBANA — Some Urbana customers remained without phone and Internet service on Sunday as AT&T continued to work on a cable that was damaged on the University of Illinois Quad on Thursday morning.

AT&T spokeswoman Brooke Vane said the majority of affected customers were back online on Sunday.

Illinois EPA ups monitoring of large livestock farms

In response to an informal federal investigation, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency has promised to keep a closer eye on large livestock farms in the state.


Attorney general's office probes fish kill near Mansfield

The investigation into a September spill that killed tens of thousands of fish near Mansfield is now being handled by the Illinois attorney general's office.

The spill happened in Lone Tree Creek, which flows into the Sangamon River. Damage was reported in the creek and the river.
