Vermilion prosecutor drops charges against one in triple murder

DANVILLE — The Vermilion County state's attorney's office has dropped murder charges against one of the men indicted in March in connection with a 2007 triple homicide in Danville.

Vermilion County State's Attorney Randy Brinegar announced on Monday that he recently moved to drop the charges against David L. Moore, 37, of Chicago.

Injury bug bites Illini

CHAMPAIGN - Illinois point guard Sam Maniscalco won't play in Tuesday's exhibition against Wayne State, Bruce Weber said today.

The senior will be held out of the game for precautionary reasons as he continues to nurse a surgically repaired ankle. Maniscalco has been limited since the Illini opened practice Oct. 14.
