Organizer returns to help Paxton holiday giveaway
PAXTON — When Sally Marshall moved to Ohio with her husband, Chad, last spring, she knew she would be back in Paxton for the holidays. As the organizer of the local Project Bright Star toy and clothing giveaway each Christmas, the lifelong Paxton resident had to see the program continue.
Two men rob man in Urbana
URBANA — Urbana police are looking for two men who robbed a man as he walked on an Urbana street Tuesday night.
Sgt. Dan Morgan said a 26-year-old Urbana man was walking in the 100 block of West California Avenue near Broadway Avenue, just south of Lincoln Square, at 8:10 p.m.

Truck driver ticketed after accident blocks I-57 near Arcola
ARCOLA — An Iowa truck driver was ticketed for improper lane usage after his semitrailer overturned near Arcola early Wednesday morning.
Timothy R. Pingel, 42, of Cherokee, Iowa, told state police he was distracted by a beverage in his 2005 Peterbilt truck. He was pulling a trailer northbound on Interstate 57.
