The University of Illinois College of Law is partnering with WCIA Channel 3 to broadcast a live one-hour broadcast called "Economy in Crisis: A Local Look" on Wednesday.
The show will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. and broadcast from the Max L. Rowe Auditorium at the College of Law, 504 E. Pennsylvania Ave., C, in front of an audience.
College of Law faculty members Larry Ribstein, Christine Hurt, Ward McDonald, Robert Lawless, Charles Tabb, Richard Kaplan and Rick Winkel will participate. Illinois State Sen. Mike Frerichs and Jerry Gorman, vice president of Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund, will also participate. WCIA news anchor Jennifer Roscoe will host.
The show will cover the credit market disaster, home mortgage, bankruptcy, consumer credit, tax and public finance and politics, including the impact of the presidential election. WCIA will pre-empt CBS network programming for the broadcast with minimal commercial interruption.
Audience members will be encouraged to ask questions during each segment of the show.
