Indian Market Days' first spring event set this weekend

COLLINSVILLE – Indian Market Days will be held for the first time in the spring this year at Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site in Collinsville.

More than 17 vendors and Indian artists will sell jewelry, paintings, musical instruments and other Indian-made art from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The site is 8 miles from downtown St. Louis.

Its museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. There is no admission charge, but donations of $2-4 are suggested.
