Champaign library sets Twitter workshop for Aug. 11

CHAMPAIGN – The Champaign Public Library is hosting a workshop to explain Twitter to people interested in learning more about the social networking service.

It's scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 11 in the Robeson Pavilion Room A & B at the Champaign Public Library, 200 W. Green St., C.

Three local people who use Twitter will teach the workshop, including Meg Thilmony of The News-Gazette, Jonas Dees of Parkland College and Nanette Donohue of the Champaign Public Library.

The program is a part of the library's Tech Talk series, said Elizabeth Otto, the library's promotions manager. These talks "introduce people to various online resources in a beginner-friendly way," Otto said.
