'Messiah' rehearsals begin later this month

GIBSON CITY — Singers of all ages are invited to be part of the Gibson Area Music Foundation's annual presentation of Handel's "Messiah."

Rehearsals, which will be at 7:15 p.m. each Monday at the First Presbyterian Church of Gibson City, begin Oct. 29. The final dress rehearsal is Nov. 26. at the Gibson City Bible Church.

Participants are to arrive by 7 p.m. each rehearsal. Vocal scores will be provided at no cost.

The annual public performance is set for 3 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Gibson City Bible Church. The Rev. Willie Summerville of Urbana will again direct the chorus, soloists and strings.
