Opening reception is today in Urbana

Editor's note: sorry for the late notice about the opening reception.

URBANA — The city of Urbana is exhibiting work by William Lawrence Deverell in its Artist of the Corridor exhibition program; the opening reception will be from 4 to 5 p.m. today in City Hall, 400 S. Vine St.

"Recent Work" features drawings in black and white — Deverell uses ink and pencil, paying attention to detail. Through his work, he expresses interest in grand architecture, intricate forms and dramatic light and shadow. The exhibit, free and open to the public, will be on display in the city building lobby through Jan. 31, 2013.
