Renowned ventriloquist will perform in Onarga

ONARGA — The Cissna Park art advocacy group, Art UpClose, will present renowned ventriloquist David Pendleton twice Saturday at the Onarga Theater.

Pendleton will bring to the stage a range of comedic characters including lovable, but blunt Aunt Tilly, a 94-year-old spinster; quick-witted troublemaker Mack Elroy, with his laid-back sidekick, Buford the Beagle; and Vern, a slightly misguided albino vulture. For more information on Pendleton, visit http://www.anythingcantalk.com.

Pendleton will perform at 4 p.m.; tickets to the matinee are $15. He also will perform at 7, with tickets for that show $18 each.

Part of the proceeds will go to the Onarga Theater, the last remaining theater in Iroquois County that continues to screen movies — most first-run — to purchase costly equipment as the movie industry moves to all-digital releases.

Seating is limited. To reserve tickets, email artupclose@yahoo.com or call 815-457-3070.
