Christmas country music show set for Saturday

McLEAN — The Illinois Country Music Association will host what it promises will be a new fast-paced Country Christmas Spectacular show on Saturday at the Mount Hope Community Hall on the square.

A meal will be served starting at 5 p.m., with country music performed during the meal by the association's entertainers. The Christmas Spectacular will start at 6:30.

Tickets for association members are $6 for adults for the show only and $3 for children age 4 to 12. Nonmember adults pay $7 for the show, and children 4 to 12 pay $4. Children 3 and younger are admitted free. The payment for the meal of spaghetti, dessert and drink will be by donation. A 50-50, cake and Christmas raffle and door prizes also are planned.

The ICMA is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote country, gospel and bluegrass music and country dancing and to enhance and improve the developmental potential of these performing arts in Illinois. The group produces and sponsors shows, events and benefits, provides information and encouragement to new and established artists and recognizes the achievements of country artists.
