Master of Fine Arts exhibit opens Saturday

CHAMPAIGN — The University of Illinois School of Art + Design Master of Fine Arts Exhibition will open Saturday at Krannert Art Museum, with the opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. that day.

The annual exhibition showcases works, generally cutting-edge, by the MFA candidates at the university.

Also this week at the museum, the last SPEAK Caf of the spring semester, will take place from 6:45 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The theme will be "Poetry in Motion; Speak Caf as an Institution." The open mic event is moderated by Aaron Ammons.

Both events are free. The museum is at 500 E. Peabody Drive, C.
