Asian-American art exhibit on view through July 1

URBANA — "Many Cultures, One Community," a group art exhibit featuring the diverse cultures of Asian Americans in Champaign-Urbana, will be on view through July 1 at the Asian American Cultural Center, 1210 W. Nevada St.

The exhibit features work by students and community members including Ian Wang, Selena Wang, Rashmi Kapoor, Vivia Tran, Hua Nian, Aileen Chu, Amrita Bamrah, Joy Yang, Jason Xing, Siti-Mariah Jackson, Cheryl Chau, Xiang Dong and Hermia Soo.

It showcases Asian art from traditional to contemporary and includes oil, watercolors, photography, paper tearing and pen and ink. The exhibit is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
