Strawberry Jam set for Saturday

URBANA — The annual Strawberry Jam concert, featuring "sweet tunes and sweet treats," will take place from 4 p.m. to dusk Saturday at the south end of Meadowbrook Park.

Bluegrass musicians will perform as fresh strawberries over ice cream will be served, while supplies last.

The music lineup:

— 4 to 5 p.m., The Young and the Fretless;

— 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., The Fabulous Javelinas; and

— 7 to 8 p.m., Big Bluestem.

In addition to the music, the free summer event will offer a hayrack ride through the park that picks up and drops off at the Race Street parking lot. Concertgoers may also take a guided prairie tour at 5 p.m.

Concertgoers are advised to take blankets or lawn chairs. Overflow parking will be available at the Stone Creek Church at the corner of Windsor Road and Race Street.

The event is sponsored by Busey and Health Alliance.
