Singer/songwriter will perform Friday at Indi Go

CHAMPAIGN — Singer/songwriter and storyteller Angie Heaton will perform her first local show in more than a year at 7 p.m. Friday at the Indi Go Artist's Co-op, 9 E. University Ave.

Heaton, who lives in Urbana, will perform with Bob Watson, a local musician and master on pedal steel guitar who once lived and performed in Nashville, including with Jeannie C. Riley's band. Riley is best-known for her hit, "Harper Valley PTA."

Heaton has performed with a variety of bands through the years, among them Angie Heaton and the Gentle Tamers.
