Munch film to be screened at Savoy

SAVOY — "Exhibition," a new theatrical series of events that brings the world's greatest art exhibitions to select U.S. cinemas, will feature one on Edvard Munch this week.

"Munch: Munch 150," co-hosted by the National Museum and the Munch Museum in Oslo, will be screened at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Savoy 16, 232 Burwash Ave., Savoy.

Each "Exhibition" cinema event is hosted by art historian Tim Marlow, who will go beyond the gallery with behind-the-scenes footage.

The series began in April with the works of Edouard Manet on exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts. The third, "Vermeer and Music: The Art of Love and Leisure" will be Oct. 10 and come from the National Gallery in London.

Tickets for the "Exhibition" series are available at participating theater box offices and online at http://www.FathomEvents.com.
