Musgraves to play at Foellinger

URBANA — Country star Kacey Musgraves will perform Oct. 24 at the Foellinger Auditorium on the University of Illinois Quadrangle.

The doors will open at 7 p.m., and the show will start at 8. Tickets will go on sale starting at noon Friday via the State Farm Center (formerly Assembly Hall) box office. Tickets are $25 for students and $30 for the public.

Star Course, the UI student-run concert productions and promotions organization, is bringing Musgraves here.

She self-released three albums from 2002 to 2007. This year, she made her major label debut with "Same Trailer, Different Park," to critical and popular acclaim. She also has written songs that have been performed by Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and the cast of the television series "Nashville."
