Local musicians sought for Bach's Lunch Concert series

CHAMPAIGN — The Champaign Park District is seeking local musicians to perform for the Spring 2014 Bach's Lunch Concert series at the Springer Cultural Center.

The Bach's Lunch Concerts take place from noon to 1 p.m. on select Fridays. With the concerts, the park district aims to bring music and culture to the public over lunch. The audience is encouraged to bring lunch from home or downtown restaurants and enjoy the free entertainment.

Because of the intimate nature of the performance space, applications will be accepted from acoustic (unamplified) performers only. Applications are available at the Springer Cultural Center or at champaignpark district.com and must be submitted by Sept. 27. Applicants must also submit a demo CD to be reviewed during the selection process and held for future consideration.

The Bach's Lunch Concerts are made possible by the park district and the Illinois Arts Council.
