Authors featured at art-music festival
FAIRMOUNT — Four local authors will be at the Salt Fork Art and Music Festival Saturday and Sunday at Sleepy Creek Vineyards.
They are Mary Anne Lipousky-Butikas of Westville, Vermilion County native Jake Aurelian and Tuscola's Cindy and Kirby Pringle, and their artwork and children's books will be available.
Aurelian will debut his new book, "What You Are," at the festival presented by Sleepy Creek Vineyards, 8254 E. 1425 N Road, Fairmount.
Since 2012, Aurelian's books have received five literary awards, including two finalist awards at the Next Generation Indie Book Awards, and most recently, first place at the 2013 Hollywood Book Festival for his crime fiction novella, "Living Well is the Best Revenge."
Lipousky-Butikas recently received honorable mention at the Hollywood Book Festival for her children's book, "Scooter & Cupcake."
Told in rhyme with cheerful illustrations, "Scooter & Cupcake" is a story about two inseparable piggy pals taking young readers on a lively, fast-paced journey of friendship, sharing and helping in times of need.

The Pringles will be there for "The Butterfly That Would Not Fly," their third whimsical photo book based on canine creatures.
Earl and Pearl rescue a monarch butterfly that is afraid of heights. The two try to help the butterfly overcome its fear so that it can migrate to Mexico to spend the winter with millions of other monarchs. The book is $16.95.
