Salute to the Fallen Fest set in Danville

DANVILLE — The sixth annual Salute to the Fallen Fest will take place on Saturday at Sarge's Tap, 409 E. Main St., Danville

The nonprofit music event honors people who lost their lives as a result of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, D.C.

Ten rock and metal bands will perform throughout the event, which is open to people of all ages. Only those 21 and older may purchase alcoholic beverages.

The doors will open at 3 p.m., and the live music will be from 3:30 to 11:30. Among the bands are Degrade The Signal and national recording artist 40 Below Summer.

Tickets are available in advance at Chart Records in Danville for $10. Tickets the day of the event will be $12.

Other bands that will perform are Drench, The Great Score, Cursed By Failure, While Heroes Sleep, Somber, Clocks, Uncertainties, and Airacobra.

Sponsors are Toyota of Danville, 94.9 K-Rock, Bryant Industries, No Regrets Tattoos, Wilson's Auto Body, The Fairfield Mariott, Pro Source in Champaign, Above The Rest Roofing, and N'Kahoots Styling of Cayuga.
