Alley Gallery to show pastels from former Danville resident

DANVILLE — The Alley Gallery will exhibit, starting Saturday, the pastel on paper art works of former Danville resident and world traveler Pam Hulvey.

The artist's reception for "Celebrating Ancient Civilizations" will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The show will remain on display through Nov. 12.

Hulvey has exhibited widely in the Chicago area her impressions of the remnants of lost cultures. She is a graduate of Columbia College in Chicago, where she obtained degrees in art and photography. She now lives in the Chicago area.

The gallery is in the back of Crose Insurance Agency, 113 N. Vermilion St., Danville, and is accessible through the front door or the alley entrance.

Regular hours for the gallery are noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays or by appointment (call curator David Nolan at 497-2286). More information about the gallery may be found on its Facebook page.
