Donations sought for garage sale

URBANA — Eclectic, a shared sales space for area artists and crafters, will have a fundraising garage sale on Friday and Saturday.

Susan Pryde, owner of Eclectic, will accept donations for the sale, which will emphasize holiday decorations such as gift wrap, trees, wreaths, ornaments, Christmas villages and the like.

Because of space constraints, Pryde is unable to accept donations of large appliances, electronics and furniture.

Items to be donated may be dropped off at Eclectic, 123 W. Main St., U, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday or Saturday.

The sale will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Pryde said she needs to raise $6,000 to $7,000 to keep Eclectic going; the shop features works by more than 30 artists.

Earlier this year, Pryde raised about $9,000 through two garage sales, a $10 original art sale, an auction and the online Indiegogo campaign, which is closed.
