Parkland auditions set for 'Wait Until Dark'

CHAMPAIGN — The Parkland Theatre will have open auditions for Frederick Knott's thriller "Wait Until Dark" from 1 to 4 p.m. Dec. 8 at the theater. Callbacks, if needed, will be at 5 p.m. the same day.

Director J.W. Morrissette will cast one lead female, six males and one girl age 9 to 12. Auditions will consist of selected readings from the script. Character descriptions and audition readings may be found at parkland.edu/theatre. No appointment is necessary to audition.

The performances will take place Feb. 13-23. All members of the community as well as Parkland and University of Illinois students are invited to audition; Parkland Theatre encourages diversity.
