'Miracle on 34th Street' opens Friday
CHAMPAIGN — Eight performances of "Miracle on 34th Street" will be presented this and next weekend at the Parkland Theatre.
The curtain times are 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Dec. 19-21, and 3 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 21-22.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and students and $8 for children younger than 12. Admission for a family group of five is $50.

The Bah Humbug production will feature 40 local actors directed by Angela Schneider, featuring Tim Adams as Kris Kringle, Jim Dieker as Fred, Andrea Countryman as Doris, and Ellison Radek and Madelyn Henson sharing the role of Susan Walker.
Rounding out the cast are Les and Rita Schulte, Penny and Lizzie Moisson, Brian and Jordyn Warhover, Gwen and Bethy Kaiser, Kelly Barbour-Conerty, Gil Yohnka, Alexandra Adamek, Tyson Skinner and Michael Ryan.
"Miracle on 34th Street" is based on the 1947 movie of the same name, starring a young Natalie Wood as Susan Walker.
