Shane Dwight plans Friday night show

URBANA — Shane Dwight, who was a headliner at the 2013 Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival, will return to perform Friday evening at the New Fluid Event Center inside Lincoln Square Village.

The show, presented by Fluid Events & Smoky's House BBQ, will open with local band Timmy D. and Blind Justice. The doors will open at 8 p.m.; the show will start at 9.

Dwight's newest album, "A Hundred White Lies" was featured on the cover of many magazines in 2011 and '12, including Guitar World, USA Today, Blues Review, Blues Matters, and Music News Nashville.

The album features original songs by Dwight, a singer and guitarist, accompanied by Bekka Bramlett on backup vocals and Delbert McClinton's band, Dick 50. The album made the Top 10 of both Blues and Americana charts and was No. 3 on B.B. King's Bluesville's "Pick to Click" of the week.

Dwight has shared the stage with King, Etta James, Otis Rush, Los Lonely Boys, Johnny Winter and other major artists.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of show and are available at:
