INDIANAPOLIS — If you have the time over the next week or two, you might want to head to the Indianapolis Museum of Art for "Matisse, Life in Color: Masterworks from the Baltimore Museum of Art."
It will close Jan. 12, but because of its popularity, the museum has extended viewing hours for the show on some days. The extended hours (EST): 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4; and 11 a.m. to midnight Jan. 11.
On other days, the museum's regular hours apply: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays; and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.
General admission is free. Tickets to the Matisse show are $18 per adult; $10 for students with a student ID and for youths ages 7 to 17; and free for children 6 and younger.
The ticket stub is good for special offers from some Indianapolis businesses during the life of the exhibition, which features more than 100 paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings by Matisse. For more information, go to imamuseum.org.
