Jazz is on the menu at Buvons

Looking for a winter night out to relax and hear some jazz standards? We've got just the ticket for Saturday.

The Traditional Jazz Orchestra is set to play music from the Jazz Age from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Buvons Wine Bar, 203 N. Vine St., U.

The group plays hot music from the early 20th century when jazz was young: the music of King Oliver, Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller and other popular composers from the period.

Traditional Jazz Orchestra members include Tom Birkner, Randy Salman, Morgan Powell, Mike Miller, Dan Anderson and on occasion, Jeff Helgesen, Armand Beaudoin and others.
