Duo set to play at planetarium

Local musicians Kenna Mae Reiss and Chris Strand come together musically for guitar, harmony and mandolin as the Flower Jax on Friday at the Parkland Planetarium.

The show is from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the dome, 2400 W. Bradley Ave., C.

A Parkland student, Reiss sings and plays a blend of folk, blues and Americana/roots music. Strand is a staple in the local music community. He plays in multiple groups such as Ol' Number 7, The Curses and Wagon Fire, a Django Reinhardt styled gypsy band.
