It's time to tango at KAM

CHAMPAIGN — The seductive and subversive art of tango will come alive from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Krannert Art Museum, 500 E. Peabody Drive.

Midway through the event, there will also be live music by Tangotta.

"Krannert tango events are a labor of love, not only for me, but for the whole community," said one of the organizers, Melih Sener.

"They cultivate a free environment of improvisation and inspiration, where art, live music and embraces come together in the same space."

The Krannert events typically get 40 to 50 dancers, as well as museum-goers and children, he said.
