April auditions planned for Monticello show

MONTICELLO — Auditions for Monticello Theatre Association's summer production "'Til Beth Do Us Part," by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, will be at 7 p.m. April 7 and 8 at the Phoenix Theatre on Market Street in Monticello.

The comedy is directed by Carrie Brocksmith and will be performed May 31 and June 1, 6 and 7.

This romp about marriage and careers looks at the Haydens, a couple who decide an assistant is needed to help put the house in order. They hire a highly motivated, gregarious Southerner named Beth. Little do they know, Beth is after Suzannah's job.

Two men and four women are needed in the cast, all in the age range of 40 to 60 years old.

Two characters will need to use a standard British accent (not Cockney). One character needs a Southern accent.

This is an open audition. Questions can be referred to Brocksmith at 840-2081.
