Red Mask Players to present 'Amateurs'

DANVILLE — The Red Mask Players will present the play "Amateurs" this weekend and next weekend at the Kathryn Randolph Theater, 601 N. Vermilion St., Danville.

The performances will be at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens 60 and older, and $10 for students. For tickets, call 442-5858 or go to

Following the opening night of the Timberly Troupers' musical about undertakers, Dorothy and her slightly daft husband, Charlie, host a gathering of actors and friends. The party becomes the setting where the dreams, loves, failures and successes of the group are explored with bittersweet humor.

Lisa Lovelace directs the cast of Suzy Smalley, David Laker, Joe Sermersheim, Rhonda Sermersheim, Bob Scott, Shelley Kennedy, Darren Kilbury, Maureen Niedenthal and Jason Asaad.
