Tuvan throat singers plan Sunday concert

URBANA — The ensemble Alash, made of master Tuvan throat singers, will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Spurlock Museum, 600 S. Gregory St., U.

Tuvan throat singing is a technique for singing multiple pitches at the same time.

Admission is free to the concert, co-sponsored by the Robert E. Brown Center for World Music and the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
