The Boneyard Arts Festival this weekend is sprawling; it's hard to know what to see. I aim to check out the pop-up art shows in vacant spaces, Laura Wennstrom's exhibition at the University Y and Nina Paley's at Amara. For a complete listing, check out the festival schedule in the Wednesday editions of The N-G.

The DoCha (Downtown Champaign) Chamber Music Festival Friday thru Sunday at the Orpheum Theatre is a wonderful thing, offering people a chance to hear for free world-class musicians like Stefan Milenkovich, a violinist who has played for everyone from a president to a pope. Check out my story in this section today.

For a different kind of music, check out the local band Bones Jugs N Harmony around 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the Krannert Center lobby, in a free Pygmalion Afterglow. One of the coolest & fun bands around, its members play odd instruments to make happy uptempo sounds. Last year they busked at the farmers' market in Urbana.
