Actors, homes sought for film to be shot in area

CHAMPAIGN — Actors and area homes are being sought to appear in the independent feature film "Food" to be shot this summer in East Central Illinois.

Directed by Daryl Wein ("Lola Versus"), "Food" will star Zoe Lister-Jones of the CBS TV series "Friends With Better Lives." "Food" follows a young Midwestern mother who goes on a journey to uncover the cause of her son's mysterious illness.

Interwoven are the stories of a powerful CEO struggling with his son's disorder, an organic farmer fighting to save his farm, and two scientists on the brink of a major discovery.

"Food" is scheduled for shooting in the Champaign-Urbana area from the end of May to the end of June.

Those interested in acting in the movie may send their photographic head shots and contact information to foodthemovie@gmail.com. People interested in opening their homes for location shooting may send, to the same email address, their contact information and photos of their residence.
