CHAMPAIGN — If you're wondering what young artists are up to, check out the 2014 BFA Graduate Exhibition, on display from Saturday to May 18 at Krannert Art Museum, 500 E. Peabody Drive, C.

The show featuring work by University of Illinois graduating seniors in the arts displays a broad range of art and design that illustrates new and established technologies in material and virtual realms.

The majors represented in the exhibition include art education, art history, ceramics, graphic design, industrial design, metals, new media, painting/sculpture and photography.

The exhibition opening reception will be 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the museum.

In connection with the exhibition, seniors in painting and sculpture also will show their work in nearby Flagg Hall in installations and individual student galleries throughout the building at 1207 S. Fourth St., C. The opening reception for that is 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

That and the museum show are free and open to the public.
