Billboards will display students' art

Some Champaign public school students will see their artwork on digital billboards around town, thanks to a collaboration between Adams Outdoor Advertising and Unit 4 schools.

The project, "[FRAMED]: A Unit 4 Student Artist Expo," provides an outlet for the school district to highlight exceptional artwork created in the classroom. The work will be shown on six digital Adams Outdoor Advertising displays over the course of a year.

One piece from each school in the district has been selected for this year. Eleven elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools and 18 students are represented in total.

Submissions were accepted in a wide variety of media, including paintings, drawings and collages. Photos of the artwork may also be seen on Adams Outdoor Champaign's Facebook page.
