Residents invited to take part in summer talent competition

CHAMPAIGN — Hot 105.5, the Champaign Park District and Michael Lane Media seek talent in the Champaign area for the Summer's Hottest Talent Search.

"Whether you sing, dance, rap, do spoken word, slam poetry, tell jokes — whatever your talent may be — we are looking for CU's top-notch acts, who will ultimately perform at Champaign-Urbana Days in Douglass Park this August," reads a release from the park district.

To enter, performers may submit videos, audio drops and clips to Hot1055wczq@gmail.com. The submissions should be radio-edited and performance-ready, and limited to two minutes each. All submission material becomes property of Hot 105.5. The last day for submissions will be midnight July 7.

The semi-finalists will be notified no later than July 14 and be expected to attend a live audition soon thereafter. A committee representative of the sponsoring parties will make the final decisions on the acts to perform at C-U Days.
