Here's what's happening on the arts scene

Exhibit proceeds going to a good cause

The exhibition "Giving Forward" will be on view from Wednesday through July 13 at the Indi Go Artist Co-op, with the artists' reception at 7 p.m. July 11.

The show will feature works by a group of local watercolor artists who will donate proceeds of sales to the Chez Family Foundation Center for Wounded Veterans, under construction at the University of Illinois at 801 W. Nevada St., U.

The artists include Rebecca Renwick, Katie Renwick, Sandy Hynds, Don Lake, Judy Jones, Bonnie Switzer, Margaret Decardy, Barb England, Barb Ryan, Anu Murphy, Barb Strauss and Jenny Barrett. They are all former students of Lake during his tenure as a professor at Parkland College. Lake is now retired.

Each artist will sell originals and giclee prints during the exhibition.

The viewing hours at Indi Go, 9 E. University Ave., C, are 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
