Original story, published 5:50 p.m. Wednesday:

CHAMPAIGN — The REO Speedwagon concert planned for Feb. 8 at the Virginia Theatre will be rescheduled because of singer Kevin Cronin's illness.

No date has been set for the rescheduled concert.

The Champaign Park District said all tickets for the original concert will be honored at the new date.

"There are times in life when our bodies send us messages that we can't ignore, and this is one of those times," Cronin said. "Fortunately, for me, it is nothing life-threatening. My doctor says I will be good as new."
