Offerman sets shows at Virginia Theatre, UI to raise funds for Japan House

CHAMPAIGN — Actor, humorist, University of Illinois alumnus and Japan House carpenter Nick Offerman is coming back to town next month for two shows that will serve as fundraisers for the future Japan House Annex.

The co-star of NBC's "Parks and Recreation" who is fresh off a role in the movie "Bad Times at the El Royale" has a show for the general public scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Virginia Theatre in downtown Champaign and one specifically for middle school through college students set for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at Foellinger Auditorium on the University of Illinois campus.

Tickets for the Virginia show, which range from $35 to $80, go on sale Friday. They can be bought by going to the box office at 203 W. Park Ave., C, calling 217-356-9063 or going online to thevirginia.org/event/an-evening-with-nick-offerman/. There will also be 20 VIP packages on sale for $250 that include prime seats and an after-show "meet and greet" on-stage cocktail gathering with Offerman.
