Rantoul woman accused of stabbing husband during argument

RANTOUL — A Rantoul woman remained at the Champaign County Jail on Monday afternoon after being accused of stabbing her husband in the chest during an argument over the weekend.

Prosecutors on Monday charged Sandra Findlay, 38, with aggravated domestic battery. A judge left her bond at $75,000 and gave her until Sept. 18 to hire an attorney.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for all of East Central Illinois except Ford and Iroquois counties until Sunday morning.

Coroner IDs man found shot to death in car in Danville

DANVILLE — The Vermilion County coroner has released the name of a Danville man found shot to death in his vehicle two weeks ago.

Coroner Jane McFadden said Tuesday that the victim is Shawn David Mullins, 43. No arrests have been made in connection with the Aug. 21 shooting.
