Make this weekend take the cake

I made my first foray into the new Cakes on Walnut earlier this week and I was not disappointed.

My small Chocolate Covered Cherry cupcake was pretty and delicious, and wasn't too rich for my finicky stomach. The frosting was soft and creamy. I've got a major sweet tooth, so it could've been a little sweeter. But then again, so could most things.
The cupcakes were a little on the expensive side ($2.50 for the kids' party-size small), but it was worth a treat without any of the dirty dishes. Plus, the cake bar's interior is eye candy itself. (Sorry if that was lame. I never claimed to write humor.)
It's got beautiful exposed brick, white accents and looks so artsy that whoever designed it must be a Mac user. It was the brightest bar I've ever sat in.
So head on over and maybe I'll see you there. Because I'm heading back soon for more of that delicious, cupcake-y goodness.
