We wrote about Managers vs. Cancer when the Illini were in Maui, but this seems like a good time to remind of the organization. The Illinois basketball team managers, led by head manager Tim Patrick, founded the nonprofit in association with the American Cancer Society.

The newest development is a ticket exchange/donation deal for Rose Bowl-bound fans who have basketball season tickets. If you have tickets for the Dec. 28 and Dec. 30 home games -- but you don't plan on using them -- you can donate those tickets to Managers vs. Cancer, which will then auction them off. It's a great opportunity for fans who can't normally attend games, and a good way to put those tickets to use if you're going to be out of town.
