Alex Legion, the freshman guard transferring to Illinois from Kentucky, is at the Illini's practice this afternoon at the Assembly Hall. He'll be in attendance Sunday when Illinois hosts Penn State.Legion has been admitted by the university, a spokesperson said, which allows him to practice with the team. He's expected to be eligible to play for the Illini at the conclusion of the fall semester next season.

Several outlets have reported that Legion will have 2 1/2 years of eligibility at Illinois once he becomes eligible after the Fall semester of 08. Why won't Legion have 3 1/2 year of eligibility?? Didn't he only play at Kentucky for one semester?

Several websites and newspapers have reported that Legion will have "2 1/2 years of eligibility" at Illinois after sitting out until the end of the 2008 Fall semester. Why won't Legion still have 3 1/2 years of eligibility? Didn't Alex only play for 1 semester at Kentucky before transferring?
