Illinois' road swing is off to a rough start for one of its players.

Calvin Brock, coming off a 15-point game against Penn State, took an elbow to the face in Wednesday's practice at the Kohl Center in Madison. Brock needed 16 stitches to close a gash around the bridge of his nose and into his forehead.
Coach Bruce Weber said the injury occurred during a normal practice drill, when a teammate turned and caught Brock with an accidental elbow. Weber said the junior is a game-day decision for Thursday's matchup with Wisconsin (8, ESPN). Early indications are that Brock should be able to go, though he's wearing a large bandage on his face.
Brock moved into the starting lineup in the final game of the Maui Invitational and has started the past 11 games. After the Wisconsin game, Illinois plays at No. 10 Indiana on Sunday.
