Meacham, the Illini's second-leading scorer this season, underwent surgery in Champaign to repair bone spurs in his left ankle. The former Centennial standout said Monday he expects to be able to return to the court in about six weeks, maybe sooner. He was bothered by the nagging ankle injury for the past two seasons. On crutches, Meacham observed workouts Monday at Ubben Basketball Complex.

Thank you Trent for always playing your heart out. I tell my daughter the stories about how much time he puts into doing something he loves. What a great role model for our kids. Heal quickly and have a great season next year.
