Big Ten guard to the MVC?

Tony Freeman, the junior guard who is leaving Iowa, is expected to make an official visit to SIU on Friday, multiple sources said today.
Freeman asked for and received a release from his scholarship after playing in 86 games for the Hawkeyes. As a junior, the 6-foot-1 guard averaged 13.8 points and 3.1 rebounds. A former standout at Westchester St. Joseph's, he will have one season of eligibility remaining after sitting out next season due to NCAA transfer rules.
