See you at the Turkey Trot

Registration begins at 8 a.m.
The race ... running, walking, walking dogs, walking kids, pushing kids in strollers, pulling kids in wagons ... begins at 9 a.m.
It's about 1.5 miles, 3 miles if you're tough and you do two laps.
Free hot chocolate and bottled water.
Free ribbons to first 500 or so finishers.
Free turkeys and other prizes given out after the race.
Meet all your townie friends -- at least 1,000 -- and some visitors and start the day with some refreshing exercise.
The weather will be OK: sunny, about 30 degrees, stiff breeze out of the northeast. It'll be at your back for the last half of the course.
I guarantee you'll have fun.
