Friday aft/evening weather outlook improving: now just "minor ice acculmulation" here

Weather Story from the NWS office in Louisville, KY

Graphical depiction of the weather story for today.

Wintry precipitation will spread across central and southeast Illinois on Friday. The atmosphere will be cold enough to support all snow along and north of a Canton to Bloomington-Normal line...where 1 to 2 inches will be likely. Further south...a mixture of freezing rain, sleet, and snow will occur. The precipitation will be quite light...so only minor ice accumulations are anticipated. Motorists are advised to drive with caution...especially during the Friday afternoon commute, as slick spots will be possible on many area roadways.
